Deep Dish Dungeon Veggie Soup: Cooked Veggies and Other Dishes

Looking for veggie soup? Start with the dish labelled Cooked Veggies: cook Tomato and Wild Pepper in a Cooking Pot over a lit fire. A second reported combination adds Corn. Check the finished item’s name before using it for the dining-hall puzzle or a jump bonus; the early player nickname “veggie soup” is not a confirmed official item name.

Which vegetable dish should you look for?

Look for Cooked Veggies in the pot preview and on the finished bowl. It is the vegetable dish used alongside Bean Soup and Stew for the dining-hall golden door.

“Veggie soup” comes from an early player discussion about a jump-boosting meal. Cooked Veggies also has a recorded jump bonus, but the nickname alone does not establish that both names mean the same item. Use the displayed name and tooltip to choose the meal you need.

Three documented dishes and what goes into each

A launch-period player named the following separate dishes for the dining-hall golden door. Use a Cooking Pot over a lit fire and prepare one batch at a time.

The first set comes from Moonbear; a PC Game Pass player documented the two-ingredient alternatives and used the three dishes to open the door. These combinations do not establish an exhaustive list of substitutions. Moonbear warned that an older Bean Soup clue could be misleading; Steam patch 1.0.50.0 later says that the Bean Soup tip was fixed.

Reported golden-door combinations
Finished dishIngredients to tryHow to distinguish it
Cooked VeggiesWild Pepper + Corn + Tomato, or Tomato + Wild PepperThe vegetable dish; check that the pot shows Cooked Veggies.
Bean SoupBlack Beans + Black BeansThe bean dish; keep this reported combination separate from the pepper.
StewRaw Meat + Wild Pepper, or Raw Meat + TomatoThe meat-and-vegetable dish, separate from the bean dish.

How to make Cooked Veggies

Use a Cooking Pot over a lit fire. Tomato plus Wild Pepper worked in a PC Game Pass player’s three-dish solution; another player reports Wild Pepper, Corn and Tomato. The pot has two main ingredient slots and an optional extra slot.

If the preview shows a different meal, check the ingredient types and slots before spending them. For Bean Soup, keep two Black Beans together rather than mixing a bean with a pepper; an older in-game hint caused confusion and patch 1.0.50.0 corrected it.

Use the Cooking Pot for these meals. The Cooking Table prepares items such as Corn Dough and does not replace the pot.

  1. Light the fire beneath the Cooking Pot and bring Tomato and Wild Pepper. Keep Corn available if you are following the three-ingredient combination.
  2. Place the ingredients in the pot and check that the result preview says Cooked Veggies before starting.
  3. Start cooking, wait for the dish to finish and collect the bowl.
  4. For the dining-hall door, keep Cooked Veggies separate from Bean Soup and Stew, then place one of each on the three offering stands.

What does Cooked Veggies do?

One Cooked Veggies variant in a full-game 1.0.47.0 recording displays +10 maximum HP, +22 maximum SP and +10% jump height for 17 minutes.

Read your bowl’s tooltip before eating it for a difficult jump. The recorded variant also displays a +50% swim-stamina and +50% weapon-SP-cost add-on; those are the labels on that bowl, not a guarantee that every ingredient combination has identical effects.

If you are making the meal for the door, place it on an offering stand before eating it. Steam patch 1.0.50.0 set the Cooked Veggies stack size to one, so allow space for the separate bowls.

Questions

Is Veggie Soup definitely the same as Cooked Veggies?

That link is unconfirmed. A player called a dish veggie soup and mentioned a jump bonus; the recorded Cooked Veggies variant also shows a jump bonus, but neither source establishes that the names refer to the same item.

Which dish uses two Black Beans?

The launch-period golden-door report uses two Black Beans for Bean Soup. Cooked Veggies and Stew are separate dishes in that report.
