Deep Dish Dungeon Leather

Get Leather from dungeon finds or make it at a Workbench using Animal Hide from Rats. In Grillmastah’s October 2026 recording, the Workbench recipe displays two Animal Hides for one Leather.

Find or make Leather

Developer Saulotti says Leather can be found deeper in the dungeon and made at a Workbench with Animal Hide from Rats. In the October recording, a Small Chest beside a metal fence contains Leather and a Bone Club.

The recording shows the Leather recipe with a red, unavailable input rather than a completed craft. Its precise game build is not shown, so use the displayed quantities as an October 2026 reference.

  1. Catch a Rat. Players in an earlier Steam discussion describe using the interact prompt before it retreats into rubble.
  2. Open the crafting menu and select the Rat-to-Raw-Meat recipe; the recorded recipe also gives Animal Hide.
  3. At a Workbench, select Leather. The recorded menu shows two Animal Hides as the input for one Leather; check your own recipe before crafting.

If Leather is missing from the menu

Make sure you are looking at the Workbench. In an earlier demo discussion, player Iodred reported that finding Leather first made the recipe appear there; that report does not establish the unlock rule for every later build.

Choose what to make

Leather is useful for camp and carrying capacity. Patch 1.0.50.0 changed the Cooking Table unlock from Corn to Leather.

In Grillmastah’s recording, a Workbench Pouch costs two Leather and two Vines. The completed craft adds three inventory slots. Check your game’s panel for the ingredients shown in your version.
