Sorting Box in Deep Dish Dungeon

The Sorting Box is a physical container for loose objects: find it in the Crafting menu, then put items into the box and pick them up individually.

Find the box in Crafting

In WorldOfVods’ October 18 full-game recording, Sorting Box appears on the second page of the Crafting menu. Open Crafting, move through its pages and select Sorting Box to inspect the recipe shown in your game.

The recording shows the entry but does not select its recipe, so it does not establish the material cost or discovery prerequisite. Check the displayed requirement before spending supplies; the exact build and platform of the recording are not stated.

Store and retrieve loose items

Place the box where you want to group objects, then put the items inside it. In the same recording, the player keeps empty bottles in an open box and the on-screen prompt targets an individual bottle for pickup.

This keeps a visible physical pile together. A Steam player answer describes the same purpose as physical storage rather than placing items inside a chest.

  1. Drop an item into the open box instead of looking for chest slots.
  2. To take it back, aim at that item and follow its Grab prompt. In the PC-style recording the prompt is E; use the prompt shown for your own controls.

Limits to keep in mind

The observed box holds loose objects rather than presenting a chest inventory in that interaction. Pick the object you want from the pile; the example does not establish a numerical capacity or automatic sorting.

The footage does not establish whether food inside a box spoils. Do not rely on it as a proven preservation method.
