Deep Dish Dungeon Pickaxe

Find the Pickaxe beyond a lower prison door, then use it on Goo Piles to uncover paths and collect Clay. Patch 1.0.51.0 also added a Pickaxe recipe to the Workbench.

Find the Pickaxe in the prison

Yamamaru Niki’s October walkthrough places the Pickaxe on the ground just beyond a door below the webbed prison. Bring a Hammer, a Torch, the Prison Key and the Small Key for the approach.

The recording does not establish that the Iron Rod is consumed to open that lower door. Read the interaction prompt rather than spending a rod on that assumption.

  1. Get the Hammer in the sewers. Below the camp hall, use it to break the metal bars and progress through the forge area to find the Prison Key.
  2. From the camp hall, take the upper left passage to find a Small Key. Use it on the locked door leading to the spiral stairs.
  3. Descend, burn the webs with a Torch and use the Prison Key on the prison entrance.
  4. In the prison, repair the broken lever with an Iron Rod, operate it and check the opened cell. Leave the cell, turn right and descend the stairs.
  5. Open the lower door and pick up the Pickaxe just beyond it. Twilight’s recording shows an Iron Rod entering the inventory after unlocking a nearby lock, followed by the Pickaxe pickup.

Twilight’s recording, 59:27: the Pickaxe enters the inventory. Its exact game build and platform are not identified.

Crafting another Pickaxe

Patch 1.0.51.0 added a Pickaxe recipe at the Workbench. Open the Workbench and check the Pickaxe entry for the requirements shown in your game; the official note does not list its ingredients or unlock condition.

The prison route above describes a pickup recorded before that patch. The Workbench entry is another acquisition method, not evidence of a different upgraded Pickaxe.

Use it on Goo Piles

Equip the Pickaxe and strike a Goo Pile. In Stumpt’s recording, a hit on a pile is followed by a Clay pickup; Yamamaru Niki also describes clearing sewer goo to open passages.

Look for Clay on the ground after breaking goo. The recording demonstrates one encounter and does not establish a fixed yield for every pile.

No difference between Pickaxe upgrade levels is established by these sources. The patch confirms a Workbench recipe, rather than an upgrade or new damage value.
